Uranus is in retrograde back to Aries
(Nov 6, 2018 – March 6, 2019)
Uranus is the planet that challenges the status quo, it brings up rebellion, innovation, and/or social reform. Since 2011 it has been moving through the astrological sign of Aries.
Take a journey back to 2011. What were you thinking then? Where was life changing significantly for you? What were your dreams back then? How have the changes happened in random ways in the past 7 years? And did you almost get there earlier this year? But not quite? And now you feel like you are back to square one? But actually you aren’t.
Welcome to the Uranus shift
Uranus takes approx 84 years to complete its cycle through your 12 houses. Shifting it’s focus to different areas of your life as it goes. It’s the planet of surprises, random happenings and awakenings. And we all have it playing out in one of those 12 areas right now (for example think self, finances, home, relationship, career, spirituality, etc).
In 2011 Uranus moved from Pisces to Aries – and another of the long cycles of change commenced. We experienced many twist, turns, and seismic shifts, as that part of life was re-arranged (willing or not in many cases). We thought it was done in May! Not so.
The annual Uranus retrograde started in early August, so we may have seen obstacles, stumbling and lots of back-tracking. All of which made you question whether you really were making progress. The answer is YES, but not quite enough, there’s more potential in the situation. Now through to early January is that chance to go further.
This week as part of it’s retrograde path moves it back to Aries (it briefly was in Taurus from mid-May), giving us that opportunity to nail what we had intended back in 2011. All retrogrades are an opportunity to review, reflect and reconsider in some way. So if we had a plan but only achieved 80%, here’s the chance to take it all the way.
Will it ever end?
Uranus will be direct from January, but retracing it’s steps (covering ground already gone over). And then by early March 2019 we are done. Well only sort of – as now Uranus will move it’s focus to the next house – perhaps we can already feel where that is – as these last 5 months will have given us an inkling of what needs to change next 😉
Cycles within cycles, ever progressing. That’s the work.
