It’s the halfway point of the year
Yes scary to say we are there already. I’m sure there are plans for year-end that just a month ago seemed in the distant future. This is always a powerful pivot point of the year, and we are likely to get a wake-up call from the Universe …
June/July
In the days leading up to the New Moon it’s great to finish projects and then clear the decks ready for a new game to unfold.
The new moon in Gemini ushers in this powerful moment. Gemini is the sign of the twins (duality) – so expect to some flip flop between various options, thoughts and emotions. Try them out in your mind and see which path you truly want to take.
The Solstice follows close behind on June 21st. The days will once again start to get longer in the Southern Hemisphere. Now is when we plant the seeds of intention that will come to fruition at the next Solstice.
The Maori tradition of Matariki looks to the stars prior to the new moon to foretell the coming season, and celebrations take place to honor the new energy at the new moon. Matariki is the Maori name for the Pleiades star cluster, sometimes called the Seven Sisters. This star cluster is visible each year around this time.
My best advice – set clear intentions. If we shoot for something we are far more likely to be going in the right direction, rather than being at the mercy of other’s agendas.

Lemon Meringue Smoothie
Quarter fresh lemons and freeze separately on a tray. Once they are frozen place in a sealed container. Here’s the trick – no need to peel them. They can be thawed, and when added to a vanilla protein smoothie give a welcome burst of flavour (and vitamins) during the winter months.
