Flaxseed Crackers
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup whole Flax seed
- 1/4 cup Chia seeds
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Tamari Soy sauce
- 1 cup ground Flax seeds
- 1/2 cup Sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp Poppy seeds
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
Instructions
- Mix whole Flaxseeds, Chia seeds and Water together and leave for 15 mins (stirring occasionally) to make a gel.
- In the meantime mix remaining ingredients in a bowl.
- Add the gel, Olive oil and Tamari and combine well.
- Place mixture on baking paper on an oven tray. Using the back of a spoon spread out until 2-3 mm thick. Bake at 180c for 30 mins, remove from oven, cut into squares and return to the oven (heat now off) for a few more minutes (until crispy).
Notes
It's important that the mixture is spread super thin - otherwise it will not become crisp.
