Flaxseed Crackers

  • 1/4 cup whole Flax seed
  • 1/4 cup Chia seeds
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Tamari Soy sauce
  • 1 cup ground Flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup Sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp Poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt


  • Mix whole Flaxseeds, Chia seeds and Water together and leave for 15 mins (stirring occasionally) to make a gel.
  • In the meantime mix remaining ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add the gel, Olive oil and Tamari and combine well.
  • Place mixture on baking paper on an oven tray. Using the back of a spoon spread out until 2-3 mm thick. Bake at 180c for 30 mins, remove from oven, cut into squares and return to the oven (heat now off) for a few more minutes (until crispy).


It's important that the mixture is spread super thin - otherwise it will not become crisp.
