The 35 Day Detox approach to Food

The paradox is that changing food habits is both the easiest and hardest thing to do. Without changing foods we cannot change the body’s chemistry and therefore it’s biology.  And to create change in our emotions and thoughts we must change both.

Multiple times a day we have a choice as to what to feed ourselves – does it support our health or not?  We can make small incremental changes that over time will result in a different chemistry. 

Fasting options

  • A juice fast is an effective way of giving your digestion a break – allowing your body to get on with healing itself.
  • The duration of the fast can be anywhere from 1 – 10 days. The most important indicator will be what feels right for you at this time.
  • The time before or during the full moon is an ideal. We are reaching the peak point energetically of the month, and that in itself can cause some emotional releases.  Fasting helps you to be present and work through these more effectively.

The Recipe Book

With over 100 recipes in the book, there is a healthy meal for any occasion.  All recipes are dairy, gluten and refined sugar free.  We have show-cased some of the favourites here for you.  Please add your comments to the reviews and share them with your friends and family.  And the local cafe, so we have greater choice – all the time – not just as a token gesture.

Some recipes are vegan, others vegetarian, and some include meat.  We believe these are personal choices.  Often cooking for a family with differing desires is difficult, here we have created healthy base meals that various options can be added to.

Never wanting to shy away from a challenge the baking section is completely an egg-free zone.  Thereby creating vegan options as well as catering for those with food intolerances.

One final word, you will see that many of the recipes are more a formula than a recipe – as they can be modified to create different versions, depending on the available ingredients and the season.  Master the basics of a few recipes and it’s possible to produce an almost endless variety of delicious food without too much effort.
