Full Moon in Taurus
The energy and intensity of this weekend’s full moon is already building. We feel the need to pedal faster, yet slowing down could be the answer …
We are at that halfway point between the eclipses of August 2017 and those coming in February 2018, and now very much feels like the pinnacle point reached this month. Shifts are taking place to align you with your true nature.
Moves away from the familiar are a necessary consequence as old relationships and patterns drop away, allowing you to reach for the new. These next few days are a perfect time to write down what you want to let go of. And then on Saturday’s full moon create a mini ritual and burn the paper (safely)!
Scorpio’s vibe in November is always intense as we delve deeper into a place of self-awareness. Luckily it followed by the fun-loving adventure seeking Sagittarius, just in time for the holiday season.
In the meantime though we are best served by looking at our actions, the thoughts behind those actions, and then (in true Scorpio style) the beliefs. Some of those beliefs are probably well-overdue being kicked out of your life – and this week is the perfect time to dive deep and do so.
Having the time and space to do this work is definitely key.
Then fast forward two weeks and it’ll be time to lighten up and find some joy. I’m looking forward to that 35 Day Detox Challenge a lot more than the intensity of this present one.
Healthy Choice Recipes
If you haven’t already, I highly recommend taking a look at the sample recipes that are online. These were formulated to be naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free and in some cases egg-free. We haven’t compromised on taste (although initially they may not seem as sweet as you are used to), family friendly, and super easy to prepare.
A lot of research went into creating versions of New Zealand favourites that all balanced in terms of nutrients (carbs, fat and protein).
Feng Shui Challenge
Here’s a fun challenge from this month’s online program. Move 9 objects (big or small) within your home environment. And see how you awareness shifts.
Our minds crave variety and yet our bodies love routine. Finding a happy compromise is the key. Start the day off right and you will be balanced and better equipped to cope with whatever is thrown at you during the day.
This month and last I have made a commitment to be in the studio Mon – Fri at 6am. It’s a little early but the benefits have been interesting. So my routine (as an example) has been:
- wake and spend a few minutes orientating myself to the day
- wash and use the tongue scraper
- have my lemon water and feed the dogs
- clean my teeth
- breathing, yoga, meditation and affirmations
- green tea and check social media
- walk or run with the dogs
and then I’m good to go!
Avocado Dream Smoothie
For a filling snack Avocado is a perfect base for a smoothie. This one is Avocado, Coconut Water, Almond Milk, Maple Syrup, Vanilla and Chia Seeds. Full recipe is on the website.
Behind the scenes … this is what it looks like when the recipe photos get restyled. The good news has been three weeks of preparing our favourites.
